About the event

Healthy plants need healthy roots. Roots give stability, they take up the nutrients that are needed for growth, and they seek out hydration for the desert times.

To be healthy as Christians, we need to be rooted – searching out those things that will sustain us for the long haul, going deep into those things that will give us stability.

In this month's Encounter Day, Jon will be helping us to reflect on what it means to be rooted in the Church.


Jon is currently the Strategic Programme Director for the diocese, seeking to develop the practical support and resources to help all our churches grow in discipleship and mission.


Following a professional career in engineering and consultancy (during which time he was actively involved as a lay leader in a local church) he and his wife Sue lived in community for three years as part of an international, inter-denominational…
