About the event
How do you feel when you sing?
Using music to help us think about how we experience time with God.

No singing experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.

Catherine came to faith after being dragged into a church choir rehearsal as a student. It took a while.
The church family to which she now belongs is St. Martin’s, Ashton upon Mersey, where she is the Rector.
In her free time she likes to sing in choirs, read books, watch not too challenging TV, and grow vegetables.
When she was a child, she wanted to be a vet, but soon realised that she was far too squeamish and sentimental. Now she loves spending  time with her increasingly large number of animals.
The person that has had the greatest influence on her life is Christ. The last thing she would ‘give up’ is prayer. She would like to be remembered for trying to love the best that she can.
Jill feels closest to Jesus when she stops for a moment, when she's outdoors especially near trees, when singing as if no one is listening, and when seeing a Bible passage afresh and having an 'ah-ha' moment.
She'd like to be locked in a church with a choir, an orchestra and a supplier of blankets, obviously, God would already be there!
She would like to be remembered for seeing God reflected in the arts and all living things.
At the moment she is reading - 'Green Theology: An eco-feminist and ecumenical perspective' by (the aptly named)Trees Van Montfoort, and 'Church Beyond Walls' by Martin Poole.
