About the event
This retreat day will draw upon Franciscan spirituality and the practice of the Alexander technique to create a space where participants can explore their own prayer lives - playfully, prayerfully and physically. There will be an invitation to try out different ways of praying - and traditional ways of praying, done differently. We will use all our senses, together with movement, stillness, touch, colour and song.
The day will be framed around a prayer, attributed to St Francis:
Help me to live this day quietly, easily.
Help me to lean on thy great strength trustfully, restfully.
Help me to meet others joyously, peacefully.
Help me to wait for the unfolding of thy will patiently, serenely.
