Bible Art Journalling
Sat, 05 Jul
|Foxhill House and Woodlands
A creative day led by Jo Whittall on the theme of 'the Fruit of the Spirit' (Galatians 5: 22-23).

Time & Location
05 Jul 2025, 09:30 – 15:30
Foxhill House and Woodlands, Tarvin Road, Frodsham WA6 6XB, UK
About the event
Using a variety of materials (inks, paints, collage, writing etc) we will add pages to our journals and decorate them whilst reflecting on the Bible.
The day will start with a short act of worship introducing the theme, followed by a talk about art journaling.
No previous art skills are needed, and all materials will be provided, however if you wish to bring anything with you, please do. Each person’s journal will be unique, and you will be able to continue working on your creations at home.
Jo Whittall is a pastoral worker in the Diocese, a volunteer verger at the cathedral, and a member of the spirituality and chaplaincy team at her local hospice.
See writes,
For as long as I can remember I have had a gift of creativity - I recall knitting when I was 4 years old. Over the years, alongside a career in social work, I have enjoyed a multitude of crafts including stained glass, needlework, silversmithing, papercrafts, dolls house and miniatures, to name a few. These experiences have all drawn me to where I am now working in mixed media.
I came to ‘Faith Art Journaling’ following the death of my husband when I couldn’t find the words to express my feelings. I found the Bible, prayer, reflection and art as a pathway along my journey of grief. My first art journal was created and 11 years later I am still actively journaling. It is an important part of who I am as a person and draws me closer to God. I have been leading / co-leading faith art journaling sessions since 2016.
