The Spiritual Journey of Pilgrimage

Led by Bishop Geoff and Jean Pearson

Tuesday 10th March 4.00pm - Thursday 12th March 2.00pm

£175 - Includes en-suite accommodation, all meals and refreshments

This retreat will look at the biblical roots of pilgrimage through to the modern journeys such as the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain.

The retreat will have a special focus on Psalm 84 and the Bunyan classic Pilgrim's Progress. With group discussions and times of silence, it will ask if the 21st century Church is the best disguised set of pilgrims the world has ever known?

Bishop Geoff and Jean Pearson have been in ministry for over 45 years. Starting in West Yorkshire, they have served in Blackburn, London and Liverpool and for 11 years as Bishop of Lancaster until retiring in 2017. Jean is a Licensed Reader. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Bishop Geoff supports Liverpool F.C., is a keen runner and enjoys films and the 19th century author George MacDonald. His life verse is 'Proclaim every day the good news that God has saved us'.

Jean has been a teacher, mum, and lay hospital chaplain. She loves music, walking, being with the grandchildren and Parkruns.
