Thy Kingdom Come: The Journey

What is The Journey?

A weekend residential, specifically designed for young people in school years 7-11, organised and delivered by a dedicated team of experienced DBS checked youth leaders from across the Diocese of Chester. It’s a time for young people to gather with others who share similar beliefs and outlook on life, and to engage with Christianity in a way which may be new to them. It’s the perfect place for you to build stronger relationships and spend time with your youth group without the hassle of organising a residential.

Our programme is part of ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ and includes; workshops (art, video, dance, drama, song writing, and hard questions), wide games, Bible teaching, prayer, contemporary worship, discussions and the opportunity to make new friends, all in a safe space to build relationship and discipleship with God.

We know that you work tirelessly for your young people. We want to encourage and support you in your ministry by offering you and other youth leaders space to connect, share stories and collaborate. To make The Journey as little work for you as possible, we have created a pack with all you need including: flyer, letter to parents, consent and booking forms, which can be found here

Please keep checking the Chester eBulletin and the Diocese of Chester Youth Residential Page for updates, and for information about our Deeper Day, 7th July.

What is this year’s theme?

Light: Hear about Jesus’ Light and learn to share His light with those around you.
